Junior DevOps System Developer

 

Health e(fx) is committed to utilizing the power of native cloud technologies in order to increase speed, automation, security and transparency at the same time as reducing ongoing system support costs. To that end we are looking to hire a Junior DevOps System Developer to integrate the current Microsoft stack application with the emerging AWS cloud technologies. This person will have the following duties and expectations:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure with a focus on security, high availability, speed, cost reduction and transparency.
  • Work as part of a team to develop strong client relationships by building trust, rapport and positive working relationships with key sponsors, partners, and team members.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver automated solutions that move legacy workloads to the cloud to reduce compute costs.
  • Member of a team to monitor system health of deployed systems and ensure all failures are root caused and reported in a transparent architecture.
  • Work as part of a team to provide build, release and QA services that are well documented and consistently followed.
  • Assist in providing end user support remotely or on-site as appropriate (may include off-hours support).
  • Work as part of a team to provide insight into the existing Microsoft stack application to assist with key lift and shift activities.
  • Work as part of a team to increase automation in the support and monitoring of the Microsoft Stack applications.
  • Work with the security team to ensure the implementation follows best practice security protocols.

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent combination of education, training & experience.
  • Experience with: networking concepts and coding practices and languages.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and disseminate complex information, evaluate options, and provide solutions.
  • Willingness to research new technologies and try strategies to discover the best approach.
  • Willing to follow and develop documentation standards for a Microservice architecture.
  • Ability to implement parallel paths in order to measure results against a control.
  • Strong database background.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and apply lessons learned to existing Microservice infrastructure.
